چکیده

Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is mainly related to hypercholesterolemia. Sometimes CHD occurs in people with normal cholesterol. Therefore, it necessary study other factors that cause CHD: apolipoprotein B (apo-B). Atherosclerosis a marker of CHD, characterized by the thickening walls blood vessels and narrowing vessels. Non-pharmacologically, can be managed consuming foods high fiber antioxidants, such as red guava fruit. Objectives: This research aimed analyze consequence fruit on Apo-B levels thickness abdominal aortic wall hypercholesterolemic rats. Methods: The design was pre post-test randomized control group. Fifty adults male Sprague Dawley rats were given primary treatment used group, referring requirement 38 g/day, simvastatin positive group based human dose 10 mg/day, conversion mouse dose, according Laurence-Bacarach 0.018. negative standard feed for AIN93. Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay method measures apo-B levels, Kit For Rattus norwegicus, Catalog No. E92003Ra, produced Uscn Life Science Inc. aorta taken after going through general anesthesia thoracotomy. Furthermore, processed making histological preparations hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining observe histopathological changes. Results: Observation using microscope magnification 400X. Simvastatin have reduced 7% 6%, respectively. Conclusions: performance reducing concentration equal simvastatin.

Dynamic geometry and wall thickness of the aortic neck of abdominal aortic aneurysms with intravascular ultrasonography.

BACKGROUND It is commonly assumed that the aortic wall deforms uniformly and has uniform wall thickness about the circumference. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the aortic wall motion and thickness in the infrarenal aortic neck of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms who were undergoing endovascular repair (EVAR) and to compare the dynamic measurements of intravascular ultrasonogr...

Fluid-structure interaction in abdominal aortic aneurysms: effects of asymmetry and wall thickness

BACKGROUND Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a prevalent disease which is of significant concern because of the morbidity associated with the continuing expansion of the abdominal aorta and its ultimate rupture. The transient interaction between blood flow and the wall contributes to wall stress which, if it exceeds the failure strength of the dilated arterial wall, will lead to aneurysm ruptu...

Fruit and vegetable consumption with risk of abdominal aortic aneurysm.

BACKGROUND Dietary factors affecting the risk of developing abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) are scarcely investigated. The aim of this study was to investigate the associations of fruit and vegetable consumption with the risk to develop AAA. METHODS AND RESULTS The prospective Cohort of Swedish Men and the Swedish Mammography Cohort, consisting of 44,317 men and 36,109 women, 46 to 84 years o...

Comparison of early microcirculatory and aortic changes in hypercholesterolemic rats.

The microcirculatory changes caused by hypercholesterolemia were studied in the rat cremaster muscle model by intravital microscopy and were compared with aortic ring segments from the same animals. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were fed either a normal chow diet or a chow diet supplemented with 1% cholesterol and 0.5% cholic acid for 3 or 5 weeks before experimentation. Three weeks of hypercholeste...
